What will I learn?

We are excited to share our elementary Post-Bachelor (PB)/Master of Arts (MAT) teacher certification program. The Early & Elementary Education program will offer two certification bands: Pk-3 and/or 3-6 as well as the option to add endorsements in areas of autism spectrum disorder and cognitive impairment. In both the Post-Bachelor and MAT certification program, students earn a Michigan Elementary Standard Teaching Certificate. Students in the MAT earn a Master of Arts in Teaching. Clinical experiences are integrated throughout the certification sequence. Students receive mentoring and coaching from their advisors, faculty, instructional coaches, and mentor teachers. Students have an opportunity to apply for endowed College of Education scholarships.
