Oregon State University offers a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree, with differing options available in OSU-Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, and through Ecampus. Cascades: Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Elementary Education Ecampus: Clinically Based Elementary Education, Special Education Completion of the Teaching program results in a Master of Arts in Teaching and recommendation for an Oregon teaching license in a particular subject area or in multiple subjects (elementary). This program requires a minimum of 45 credits which includes a course in foundations of ESOL instruction and at least 15 credits in internships and/or practicum that provide classroom observation and teaching practice.

Entry requirements

A four-year baccalaureate degree (or international equivalent), a professional degree (such as BPharm, BVsc, MBBS, MD, DVM, DPharm, etc.), or an appropriate U.S./Canadian alternative degree, from a regionally accredited (US) or recognized (International) college or university, with a cumulative B average (equivalent 3.00 on a U.S. 4.00 grading scale) on the most recent baccalaureate degree or any subsequent graduate degree from a regionally accredited (US) or recognized (International) college or university, plus all work completed thereafter.OR:A four-year baccalaureate degree (or international equivalent), a professional degree, or an appropriate U.S./Canadian alternative degree, from an regionally accredited (US) or recognized (International) college or university, and a 45-quarter credit equivalent graduate degree from a regionally accredited (US) or recognized (International) college or university, with a cumulative B average (equivalent 3.00 on a U.S. 4.00 grading scale) on the most recent graduate degree.
