What will I learn?

Earn your M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and become a well-rounded early childhood professional. Choose your path and begin making a difference in young learners’ lives. In Rivier’s M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education program, you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching and leading in the 21st century. The Teaching option leads to New Hampshire teacher licensure if you choose to pursue the K-3 teaching certification. Coursework includes literacy, writing, mathematics, and social studies content early learners, as well as human development, psychology, research methods, curriculum and assessment.

Entry requirements

For international students

Official transcript(s) from undergraduate study. All applicants must submit transcripts indicating completion of your undergraduate degree and the date conferred. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected for acceptance into our graduate programs.Post-secondary academic transcripts. All applicants must submit official copies of all other post-secondary transcripts.Transcript evaluation. For any school you attended that is outside of the United States, you must obtain and submit a transcript evaluation. Those academic transcripts must be evaluated by an agency approved by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. A list of agencies and their contacts may be found on the International Admissions page.Statement of Purpose. Submit an essay of at least one typed page, but no longer than two pages, with your application. Please give your reasons for deciding to do graduate work in the field you have chosen. We request that you cover these points:Letter of recommendation. Most programs require one letter of recommendation.Test scores. Rivier University masters degree programs do not require G.R.E., G.M.A.T., or M.A.T. results for entry.Accepted tests and minimum required scores are: Duolingo (100), TOEFL (61), IELTS (5.5).
