The Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Literacy equips educators to become enthusiastic teachers, motivated readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information. In the online M.Ed. in Literacy coursework, candidates examine issues related to literacy education in public schools. They explore tools and strategies used in quantitative and qualitative educational research methods. They develop expertise in working with struggling readers, administrative literacy leadership skills, children's and adolescent literacy and online media skills. The technology-embedded instruction, and collaborative content integration enhance literature study in classrooms. The Master of Education in Literacy requires completion of 30 hours.

Applicants seeking admission to the Master of Education program in Literacy must have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher or a minimum of twelve hours at the graduate level with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.submit official transcripts of all previous college work (GPA of previous work should be 3.0 or higher).have a bachelor degree in Education or initial licensure.participate in an intake interview with the Literacy, M.Ed., coordinator and/or program faculty.
