Wichita State's Master of Education (MEd) in sport management program takes your passion for athletics and combines it with the practical skills and professional connections needed to work around the globe in the management of intercollegiate athletics, minor- and major-league franchises, park and recreation departments and the health club/fitness industry.At Wichita State, applied learning is everything. In fact, every degree we offer has a guaranteed applied learning or research experience built right into it equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you workforce ready before graduation.To complete the sport management major, you'll take 30 credit hours of course work and a six-credit-hour internship. Students have completed internships in local, regional and professional league sports organizations-from WSU athletics and the NCAA to Major League Baseball and Disney Sports.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admission to the masters degree program in sport management is considered for students who have completed an earned undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a grade point average of 2.750 (4.000 system), in their last 60 credit hours. Candidate evaluations are based on one of two options:GPA of at least 2.750 (4.000 system) in their last 60 credit hours and faculty evaluation based on letter of application, resume and three reference reports; orGPA of at least 2.750 (4.000 system) in their last 60 credit hours, cumulative score for the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Exam, and faculty evaluation based on letter of application, resume and three reference reports.
