What will I learn?

CCM is a college within the University of Cincinnati, a major undergraduate university and graduate research institution of more than 40,000 students. The synergy created by housing CCM within a comprehensive public university gives the college its unique character and defines its objective: to educate and inspire the whole artist and scholar for positions on the world's stage.Graduates of CCM’s Conducting programs go on to conduct and administrate highly successful professional, collegiate, community and children’s ensembles throughout the world. Conducting majors are led by some of academia’s greatest conductors in their respective fields of choral, orchestral and wind conducting. Conducting students receive extensive hands-on experience with a wide variety of CCM’s world-class student ensembles, as well as opportunities to lead other student musicians in staged productions and special musical events.

Statement Essay - While the video essay portion found in the graduate application is not required for CCM applicants a 500word written personal statement is required This should include within the graduate application your degree objectives frank observations of your professional and personal strengths and weaknesses any significant professional experiences or honors you were awarded as well as any other information you feel the faculty and admissions committee should know. Transcripts - Please upload unofficial transcripts from each institution youve attended to your online application Please note official transcripts are NOT required during the application process.Letter of Recommendation - One letter of recommendation is required for all MM performance DMA performance and AD applicants However other degree programs may require 2-3.Audition and Interview - While prescreening submission is required for all applicants not all applicants will be invited to audition or interview In some cases applicants will receive a final admission decision based solely off their prescreen submission In other cases faculty will request an additional audition or interview.IBT - 80, PBT - 550, Computer - 190Minimum
