Master of Music - Conducting

USA

What will I learn?

The Concentration in Conducting in the Master of Music, offered by the School of Music, is a rigorous two-year, 30-unit graduate program designed for musicians seeking intensive training in ensemble leadership and artistic interpretation. The curriculum combines advanced instruction in conducting technique, score study, and rehearsal strategies with in-depth exploration of music theory, history, and literature. Students receive regular podium time with university ensembles and benefit from ongoing mentorship by faculty artists, culminating in public performances and a comprehensive graduate recital. Through individualized lessons, seminars, and collaborative performance projects, students develop the skills needed for professional success as conductors, educators, and leaders in the musical community.
