What will I learn?

The Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership is designed to educate individuals who will plan, administer, and evaluate programs in maternal and child health. The program provides information about the special problems faced by women and children - including children and youth with special health care needs - and their families. It develops and integrates skills from maternal and child health policy and leadership and demonstrate their application in problem solving and systems development.

Entry requirements

For international students

Official transcripts: Provide official transcripts from every college-level institution attended. If you have completed coursework outside the United States, you must also provide a course-by-course foreign college transcript evaluation from any NACES accredited evaluation company. Letters of recommendation: Submit three letters of recommendation from academic or professional references. For specific programs, please note:MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health applicants are highly recommended to submit at least one academic letter among the three recommendation letters required.MSPH in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences applicants are required to submit at least one academic letter among the three recommendation letters required. Friends and family members should not write letters.MSPH in Industrial Hygiene applicants are required to submit at least one academic letter among the three recommendation letters required. If applicants have been working in the field for more than five years, professional letters are acceptable in place of academic letters. If unable to provide an academic letter, please provide a justification (one paragraph) in the statement of purpose.Resume/Curriculum VitaeStatement of Purpose and ObjectivesStandardized test scores: The GRE is waived for all masters degree programs. However, if an applicant has fewer than five years of full-time professional health care/public health practice experience AND a GPA below 3.0, we strongly encourage that applicant to submit a GRE score with their application.
