Entry requirements

For international students

Admission into the M.S. program is based on a competitive combination of the following-academic backgroundan adequate score on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) where required. GRE is optional for MS applicants who received 4-year BS degree from ABET-accredited undergraduate programs in US institutes. GRE is mandatory for all other MS applicants. Texas law prohibits the definition of minimum acceptable scores on the GRE. However, 160 to 163 is a typical average score on the Quantitative section across all degree programs for an admission class. letters of recommendation the student's statement of purposeNormally an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 is required on the last 60 semester credit hours attempted exclusive extracurricular credits.
