The Master of Science in agricultural communications degree program provides students the opportunity to advance their careers in mass media or public relations with a foundation in theory, history and ethical considerations within the discipline. The agricultural communications program at OSU is among the most respected in the nation and features internationally recognized faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.With world-class instruction and research grounded in practical application, abundant assistantship opportunities, a focus on professional development, and a broad set of leadership and service opportunities, the agricultural communications graduate program is committed to preparing graduate students for future success in and outside of the agricultural and natural resources industries.Thesis OptionA student who selects the thesis option completes 30 hours of coursework, including six hours for a thesis. A thesis consists of research conducted by the student with the goal of sharing the results in academic journals. Formal Report OptionA student who selects the formal report option completes 32 hours of coursework, including two hours for a formal report. The formal report consists of student-conducted research that is structured differently than a thesis.
