What will I learn?

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department encourages students pursuing a GIEL certificate along with an MS in Civil Engineering to complete their MS coursework requirements in their first year and their GIEL certificate requirements in their second year. Students who prefer to complete their GIEL certificate requirements in their first year are asked to speak with their MS degree adviser beforehandStudents pursuing the MS in Civil Engineering with a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Leadership must complete 16 semester-hours of required GIEL coursework and 16-20 semester-hours of coursework in their chosen Civil Engineering discipline.

For international students

If youre new to Australia and English is not your first language, your child's English language skills will be assessed. If your child is in the early stages of learning English, your child may be able to attend an Intensive English Unit (IEU) program. Your child can attend this program for a year. An extra semester of study may also be arranged in discussion with your child's school.Two letters of recommendation are required.At the time of application submission, we require unofficial copies of your transcripts from all institutions in which you earned a Bachelors degree equivalent or higher.Include a Statement of Purpose.
