What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Earth Science (Non-thesis) is a non-thesis program that permits students to design programs of study, in consultation with the program advisor, that are compatible with the individual’s goals. The program is intentionally flexible course work may be drawn from geosciences, biological sciences, chemistry, anthropology, economics, political science, communication, and physics, among others.Graduate programs in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Michigan University are designed for students with bachelor's degrees seeking to further their expertise in the field. This coursework-only degree is for students wanting to develop further expertise in the geosciences to pursue careers in industry, government, and non-profit organizations.
