What will I learn?

Baylor University's MSEd in Educational Psychology, with a specialization in Gifted and Talented Education, prepares educators and leaders to cultivate the abilities of high-potential learners in today's diverse classrooms. Grounded in the science of learning, the program teaches graduates to identify, challenge, and support students whose advanced abilities call for differentiated instruction.Students build the knowledge and skills to nurture intellectual, creative, and academic talent across cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional domains. Set within the broader framework of educational psychology, the program moves beyond enrichment alone, toward a research-informed understanding of how gifted learners think, learn, and thrive - and how their talents develop over time.Gifted and talented students often need experiences that look different from the standard curriculum. Left unsupported, their potential can go undeveloped. This program prepares professionals to design environments that extend learning, foster creativity, and promote excellence, giving them talent-development strategies that help students reach their full potential.
