What will I learn?

Sustainable engineering is the process of designing or operating systems to use energy and natural resources cost-effectively in a way that does not compromise the natural environment, social equity or the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.The Engineering Sciences MS with a course focus in Engineering Sustainability is a multidisciplinary program that trains students in sustainability fundamentals, renewable energy, economics, environmental quality and engineering practice, ethics, and manufacturing.

Entry requirements

For international students

Prospective students with a bachelors degree in engineering or natural sciences are invited to apply. The GRE is recommended but not required. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all.
A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions.
Appropriate standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc.). Not all programs require test scores.
Letters of recommendation.
