What will I learn?

Our Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Cybersecurity provides you with fundamental business applications any leader should know, as well as specialized knowledge in information security management, project management for IT, host-based security, and secure networks and communications. You will explore complex security topics such as security models, access control, risk management, virtualization, intellectual property, incident response and systems security.In this MSIT in Cybersecurity program you will learn critical-thinking strategies to make informed decisions relating to attacks on computer networks and infrastructures. You'll gain practical experience by employing secure applications development methodologies, tools and techniques, and identifying cybersecurity attacks and mitigation strategies. You will also learn how relevant legislative and legal regulations apply to cybercrime and to evaluate security levels within an enterprise.

Entry requirements

For international students

The applicant to the Master of Science in Information Technology - Cybersecurity degree program must have a bachelors degree from an accredited institution; however, the degree need not be in business administration. Students who are graduates from other fields, especially mathematics, science and engineering, are encouraged to apply. Students are not required to take the GRE to be accepted into the program.Transcripts, Résumé/CV. Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 as an undergraduate in order to be considered for admission to a Florida Tech master's degree program. Transcripts from a non-US institution are internally recalculated to meet this threshold.
