What will I learn?

The CU Denver master of science in mechanical engineering builds on the fundamentals of mechanical engineering typically learned in an undergraduate mechanical engineering program. Students may choose from five areas of study: Biomechanics Outdoor Gear General mechanical engineering Mechanics Thermal sciences. The master of science in mechanical engineering requires 30 credit hours of coursework. Students choose one of three plans to complete their degree. Students without an undergraduate degree in engineering must consult with a mechanical engineering advisor about potential prerequisite coursework.

Entry requirements

For international students

Statement of purpose – must be an original essay submitted with application. Scanned copies will not be accepted for submission. Resume - must be submitted with application Biomedical engineering applicants must complete essay questions and an application background survey. Contact the department for more information Official transcripts – we require one official copy of each previous transcript. Send e-transcripts to the Graduate School. Letters of recommendation – two letters of recommendation are required for all programs except Biomedical Engineering (which requires three) and Electrical Engineering (for which letters are not required for internal applicants and are optional for external applicants). Official GRE scores – the college has removed the evaluation of GRE scores for admission decisions. If choosing to submit, send scores officially through ETS using code -4875. Preferred minimum score of 300 plus
