What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences, option in Dietetics Practice, is designed for those who desire to complete an accelerated, accredited Dietetic Internship program while earning an accelerated master’s degree in preparation for a career in a clinical, community or food service management practice. Students gain a fundamental understanding of evidence-based recommendations used in dietetics and nutritional sciences and experience translating evidence into practice. After successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the Registration Exam for Dietitians. This Dietetic Internship program is fully accredited through 2028.All students in this 32-hour program take core classes in advanced medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education and behavior change, nutrition research approaches, public health nutrition and food policy and contemporary issues in nutrition and dietetics. Students also work with an advisor to design an individualized program to fit their interests.
