What will I learn?

Quantitative finance embraces the role of advanced mathematics in applied finance. There is extensive use of mathematics, probability theory and financial economics. The OSU program trains students not to become employees with just quantitative skills but financial managers who are equipped with a thorough understanding of quantitative finance.CurriculumThe STEM-designated program is a 33 hour program, and students may design their plan of study using one of the three areas of specialization to tailor their studies to meet their professional objectives. Graduates are equipped to apply the tools of quantitative analysis in a wide range of career paths. Their skills are in demand by energy, financial services, risk measurement and management and investment management firms. The program is an academic partner with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Entry requirements

For international students

Admissions are decided on a holistic approach with successful candidates meeting the following preferences GMAT with a suggested minimum score of 550 or GRE with a suggested minimum score of Quant 148Verbal 160
 International students must also submit proof of English proficiency in the form of a TOEFL or IELTS score 
Our students come from diverse backgrounds including aeronautical engineering industrial engineering electrical engineering finance accounting economics chemistry mathematics and statisticsThe minimum iBT TOEFL score for admission to our programs is 89 the minimum IELTS score is 6.5
