Admission requirements Individual program admission requirements over and above admission to NAU are required. Essay/Letter of Intent/Personal Statement, Prerequisite Coursework Completion of 23 hours of undergraduate mathematics and statistics coursework at the level of calculus and above with a grade of C or better, and have at least a 3.0 grade point average in these courses. The 23 units must include coursework in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, real analysis (advanced calculus), and mathematical statistics. Admitted students are expected to have undergraduate educational experiences, including general education studies, that are similar to those required for a baccalaureate at Northern Arizona University. Applicants who have earned their degree(s) from an international institution must submit official transcripts directly from the university or college. The transcripts must be in the original language of the country accompanied by an English translation.
