MEd/EdS in School Psychology

USA

What will I learn?

The education specialist degree in school psychology is a dual degree between a master's degree and a doctoral degree. Our program stands out because it emphasizes equity and social justice. It is especially ideal for future school psychologists who want to work in urban environments. Through the school psychologist degree, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Loyola faculty on issues of disproportionality and learn how to provide fair, just, and equitable distribution of service for all students. You will also learn to collaborate with educators, parents, and community members and to provide high-quality and effective academic, behavioral, and mental health support to PK-12 students. The School Psychology program is a dual degree program (MEd/EdS) that equips you to be a school psychologist with the tools to advocate for the best interests of students and their families confronting the inequities of our education system along the way. You'll learn skills and strategies to support students both in and outside the classroom, enabling them to have the most successful learning experience possible.
