What will I learn?

The Media Studies program at Queens College introduces students to a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach to information and cultural resources. The curriculum features everything from traditional print, film and television to video games, the internet and mobile phones. Discover the global social, cultural, economic and political impact of the media while living and studying in the heart of the U.S. media landscape, New York City. Students can choose from several different areas of focus, including: film and television studies advertising and marketing international communications media arts. The Queens College Media Studies Department offers for-credit media studies internships for juniors or seniors with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA. Interns can earn up to nine credits in total. There are over 400 internship opportunities across the city, ranging from advertising and public relations to radio, television, production and casting. In addition to field work, students have the chance to conduct research and report their findings.

Entry requirements

For international students

Queens College does not accept students under 16 years of age at the commencement of their studies. Students under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to attend Queens College. Application forms must be signed by a parent or guardian. This school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. Completion of CBSE Certificate with a B-2 average (X-XII) or Completion of Standard XII Certificate with 50% average (X-XII). GPA - 3.0.
