What will I learn?

Saint Louis University's Master of Public Health/Medical Doctor dual degree program is conducted under the joint auspices of the College for Public Health and Social Justice and the School of Medicine. The M.P.H. is offered as an accelerated program that can be completed in three consecutive semesters (summer, fall, spring) devoted entirely to M.P.H. coursework. The program requires completion of professional medical school requirements as well as the fulfillment of a complete M.P.H. with public health practice concentration (42 credits), which may include up to six credits of coursework from the School of Medicine M.D. degree requirements. Students interested in earning an M.D./M.P.H. apply during the first two years of medical studies to the College for Public Health and Social Justice. Upon successful completion of the first three years of medical studies, including all required clinical clerkships and steps one and two of the United States Medical License Examination, the student enters one year of public health studies. Students then return to the School of Medicine to complete the fourth year.Year - 4 Credits - 42
