What will I learn?

Wright State’s Microbiology and Immunology program will prepare you for a career in the health professions, biomedical research, or clinical laboratory work. With the upheaval caused by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), demand for those with expertise in microbiology and immunology is greater than ever. You will learn about the human body, how it interfaces with its immune system to battle foreign organisms, and about how cell signaling events govern lymphocyte and macrophage function. Pursue a specialty in areas like immunology, virology, immunotoxicology, DNA and conventional vaccine development, human microbiota, or molecular genetics. Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must fulfill the requirements for admission established by the Graduate School. Grade Point Average (GPA): Preference is given to students with a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Students with a GPA of 2.7 to 3.0 may be considered for a conditional admission. Students with an overall GPA of 2.5 but with a 3.0 or better for the last 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours may also be considered for a conditional admission.

Students must have earned a 4-year baccalaureate degree/3-year baccalaureate degree from select international institutions or its equivalent from an accredited college, university, or other institution of higher learning.
