What will I learn?

he Health Education and Health Promotion concentration within the Master of Public Health program at the University of Cincinnati, offers a unique and multidisciplinary approach to promote health, prevent disease, and protect the environment of our communities, locally and beyond. With a concentration in Health Education and Promotion, students are prepared to work with a variety of populations to improve overall health through education, policy, and advocacy. Students in this concentration will explore topics, including social and behavioral theory, program planning and evaluation, survey measurement, health disparities, and community engagement. Through a combination of coursework and practical experiences, students develop a deep understanding of the theories and practices that drive effective health education and promotion efforts in the field. The Health Education and Promotion concentration is a comprehensive program where students gain the skills and knowledge needed to address complex health challenges through education and promotion strategies. From designing health campaigns to implementing behavior change programs, graduates emerge as leaders in the field, equipped to create meaningful change.
