Wilmington University’s master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares you for professional counseling practice spanning a range of mental health issues in diverse populations. The M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is the only Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited program of its kind in our region. Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to sit for the National Counselor Examination administered by the National Board of Certified Counselors and may subsequently begin to work toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH).
A two-year mental health counseling course sequence is followed by a one-year clinical training experience that put theory and new knowledge into applied practice. This comprehensive and affordable three-year master’s in clinical mental health counseling degree program provides the knowledge base and clinical skills for individual, group, family and career counseling practice.
