The music composition program offers students individual instruction in composition and the opportunity to develop a wide range of musical skills. Study all aspects of contemporary composition, including concert music, digital synthesis, scoring for film and video, and working with interactive media. Meet weekly in our Composer’s Seminar to discuss current issues and meet a variety of nationally established guest composers. Gain opportunities to have your compositions performed in concert and at performance recitals of fellow students. Collaborate extensively with student performers and composers. Prepare a full composition recital of your own works during your senior year.
