The new Master of Science in Nutrition Science program at Illinois Institute of Technology prepares students for a career that involves the application of human physiological sciences, technology, and regulatory science to address contemporary problems related to food, nutrition, health, and disease. Now more than ever, researchers and practitioners seek to understand the role of food and nutrition in overall health and wellness. Our unique multidisciplinary program offers students advanced coursework and training including clinical research experience in the Center for Nutrition Research. The nutrition science field is projected to grow 8 percent from 2019 to 2029-much faster than the average for all occupations. As food companies increasingly develop health-promoting food and beverage products, and as government agencies increasingly align public health objectives with regulatory objectives, students graduating with practical training and knowledge in nutrition science, with regulatory science exposure, are highly sought after. The Master of Science in Nutrition Science program provides students with the coursework, training, and research experience needed to understand the role of food and nutrition in overall health and wellness and to address contemporary problems related to food, nutrition, health, and disease.
