What will I learn?

At the academic heart of ASU, this program is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the university’s largest and most diverse college. Its world-renowned faculty include 15 National Academy of Sciences members, 3 Pulitzer Prize winners and 2 Noble Prize winners. In the Bachelor of Arts program in Spanish, students gain reading, speaking and writing proficiency through either the Spanish linguistics track or the Spanish literature and culture track. The linguistics track provides an in-depth understanding of the Spanish language. In contrast, the literature and culture track addresses issues throughout the Spanish-speaking world, as seen through the lenses of the Spanish language, culture and literature.

Entry requirements

For international students

3.0 GPA or equivalent. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 9–11 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10–12 grade coursework.) Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
