What will I learn?

As per the requirements of ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association), the Department of Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies at California State University, Fresno has implemented a 36-unit graduate program effective fall 2003 semester. All students admitted into the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program in fall 2003 semester or thereafter, will be required to complete the 36-unit program.The Master of Arts (MA) in Speech-Language Pathology Program at California State University, Fresno is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Entry requirements

For international students

The graduate program is open to students with communicative sciences or related bachelor's degrees who have demonstrated the ability to excel at an advanced level as well as indicated great potential for success in academic work and clinical work. In order to be considered for admission to the graduate program, the applicant needs to submit the following: (1) a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 units of any coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in CSDS coursework.

English language Score: TOEFL – 80 iBT, or IELTS – 6.5, or Pearsons Test of English - 53, or iTEP – 4.5.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
