What will I learn?

The study of theater arts offers a number of advantages such as improved oral communication; a healthy self-image; creative problem solving; working cooperatively and independently; the ability to learn quickly; adaptability and flexibility; a goal-oriented approach to work to name a few; and let’s not forget FUN! There is a great deal of fun involved with developing all those skills.

An Associate in Arts in Theatre Arts for Transfer Degree (A.A.-T or ADT) will fulfill the requirements for students to transfer to a CSU institution as a Theater Arts major. The courses in the A.A.-T in Theatre Arts provide students with an ability to solve quantitative problems and think critically regarding macro and micro Theater Arts ideas and issues they encounter and to demonstrate problem solving through the means of problem based activities.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have completed the equivalent of an American high school diploma; twelve years of elementary and secondary school or students must be at least 18 years of age.

In order to succeed in regular college courses, students must have a score of 450 Written Based Test (WBT) or better. A score of 133 or better is required on the Computer Base Test (CBT) and 45 on the Internet Based Test (IBT), STEP Eiken test – Level 2, IELTS 4.5, or English language completion certificate. Application deadlines: Fall Semester is May 15; Spring Semester is October 15.
