What will I learn?

The design for inclusion and well-being certificate equips students with a holistic understanding of how design shapes human experience across diverse cultural, social and environmental contexts. Grounded in human-centered and research-informed approaches, the program explores the powerful connection between built environments and behavior, well-being and accessibility. Students learn to consider the social, cultural, economic and ecological impacts of design decisions, gaining insight into how materials, furnishings and spatial choices affect quality of life.
