Tampere University of Technology

Established in 2019 through a merger between the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology, Tampere University is among the most multidisciplinary universities in Finland. The university brings together research and education in technology, health and society and is known for its excellence in teaching and research. Tampere University collaborates with hundreds of universities and organisations worldwide and is home to a community consisting of about 22,500 students and around 4,200 staff members from over 80 countries. The university brings together research expertise spanning a broad spectrum of disciplines relating to technology, health and society. Tampere University’s Centres of Excellence carry out body-on-chip research and study game cultures, among other things. There are over 100 active research groups and centres on campus, and countless research projects are underway.
