Lingnan University has roots stretching back to 1888, when the American Presbyterian Church set up the Christian College in China in Guangzhou. In 1903, the college changed its English name to Canton Christian College, and adopted the Chinese title Lingnan Xuetang, the first time it used the term Lingnan. Lingnan university offers students undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research postgraduate programmes in the areas of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. The university’s curriculum covers an array of general education and interdisciplinary courses to help students acquire a firm knowledge foundation across different subjects. Lingan University’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA) offers many services and co-curricular programmes to cater for students’ whole-person development. The university helps students make informed career choices commensurate with their talents, interests and aptitude in preparation for employment after graduation.
