Many faculties offer common entry undergraduate programmes, enabling students to explore multiple subjects in Year 1. AHSS, for example, provides a flexible Common Entry Bachelor of Arts, where students choose from 16 subjects before specialising in two areas from Year 2 onward.

UL offers a range of scholarships for non-EU fee-paying students, awarded based on academic merit. Three faculties — Science & Engineering, Arts Humanities & Social Sciences, and Education & Health Sciences — provide scholarships valued at EUR 2,000. The Kemmy Business School awards scholarships worth EUR 2,500. Students are automatically considered for these scholarships when applying to a programme. If eligible for a scholarship, students will be notified at the same time as their offer decision.

UL graduates are highly regarded by employers worldwide. With a 95 percent graduate employment or further-study rate within nine months, UL consistently outperforms national averages.

Programmes are developed in consultation with industry to ensure that graduates gain relevant, in-demand skills. UL operates Ireland’s largest work-placement programme, enabling students to gain professional experience before completing their degree.
