Overview

Overview

Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) was born out of the turbulence of the 1960s, with a vision of uniting the classroom with the professional world. Today, the college offers graduate and undergraduate programs across three schools, namely, the Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education, the School for Business, and the School for Public Affairs and Administration. MCNY’s accelerated curriculum integrates the classroom and the workplace, allowing students the option of working full-time while attending school full time, in addition to earning their degree faster. The college’s unique Purpose-Centered Education curriculum fuses knowledge with practical experience. A student’s performance at MCNY is assessed from five different dimensions, namely Purpose, Values and Ethics, Self and Others, Systems, and Skills, all appropriate to their program of study. This provides a comprehensive way of designing and developing solutions to problems.
