The de Wijn JD Student Scholarship was established with a gift from John W de Wijn AM KC and is offered to students who are commencing the Juris Doctor and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a total allowance of AUD $50,000 over three years.

Payments will be scheduled as follows:

  • AUD $1500 - establishment allowance, paid shortly after enrolment
  • Two instalments of AUD $9250 - paid in April and September of first year
  • Four instalments of AUD $7500 - paid in April and September of second and third year

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have applied for the Juris Doctor under Graduate Access Melbourne category 'Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances'
  • Meet the entry requirements for the Juris Doctor.

  • Academic excellence

This scholarship is awarded to eligible students who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their disadvantaged circumstances.
