The Felix Meyer Scholarship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology was established with a gift from Mary Fisher Meyer and is awarded to high-achieving graduate researchers who are enrolling in the Doctor of Philosophy with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend of AUD $39,500 per year (2026 full-time student rate) for up to 3.5 years. The stipend may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, parenting and partner leave.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
  • Have applied for and meet the entry requirements for, or be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy - Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Not hold a Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship (Stipend) or a Melbourne Research Scholarship (Stipend).
