Other eligibility requirements

You must:

  • have an unconditional offer of admission to undertake PhD on a full-time basis at the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
  • hold an Honours degree (First Class) or a First Class Honours Equivalent Degree or a Master's degree preferably in psychology, neuroscience or pharmacology.
  • have Experience in the mental health or drug and alcohol sector or related fields, such as psychology, pharmacology, neuroscience, medicine, pharmacology, biostatistics or computer modelling (desirable)
  • be willing to undertake research in Clinical Neuroscience of Addiction under the supervision of Professor Kirsten Morley and Professor Paul Haber.

Selection criteria

The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of:
a. demonstrated academic achievement,
b. demonstrated research experience,
c. curriculum vitae,
d. area of study and/or research proposal,
e. personal statement demonstrating interest in the research project
f. interview

The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) on the recommendation of Professor Kirsten Morley and Professor Paul Haber.
