Applications are open to those who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Commencing in Semester 1, 2027
  • Faculty: Health Sciences
  • Course: Bachelor of Nursing (including double degrees)
  • Campus: Ballarat
  • Financial need or other disadvantage

Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:

  • Written statement
  • Financial need or other disadvantage
  • Interview

Selection process

Applications will be shortlisted by the Scholarships Office. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with a selection committee comprised of the donor Mission and Nursing representatives and a representative of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine, Ballarat Campus.

Application requirements

    Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:

    A written statement* of approximately 200 words outlining:

    Why you have chosen to undertake this degree.
    The challenges you have overcome, or may face in undertaking your study due to financial circumstances or other disadvantages. Types of disadvantage may include, but are not limited to:

    • Financial
    • Medical
    • Reside 50km or more from the Ballarat campus.

    Provide evidence of the disadvantages as outlined in your written statement. Types of evidence may include, but are not limited to:

    • Concession or Health Care Card
    • The most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks
    • Letter from a medical professional
    • Statutory declaration

    Interview (shortlisted applicants only)
