Other eligibility requirements

To be considered for this award, the candidate must:

• Be listed on the official roster of a Griffin Athletic Team for the given academic year;
• Meet the requirements outlined by the Canada West Universities Athletic Association and Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) within the policies and procedure section of the by-laws (Policy 50 Financial Awards); OR
• Meet the requirements outlined by the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association and the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Operating Code as it pertains to financial assistance to athletes (Operating Code page 31); and
• Be nominated by his/her coach of the respective sport (Men's Hockey).
• Demonstrate evidence of outstanding community leadership and engagement to the Edmonton community and/or the capital region.

No student athlete shall receive any Athletic scholarships, awards or bursaries that exceed the cost of their tuition and mandatory fees (third party sponsorships are excluded) Athletic scholarships, awards and bursaries cannot be given to cover the cost of any noncompulsory fees or books.

Disbursement Criteria

• Must be enrolled full-time.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must be listed on the official roster of a Griffin Athletic Team for the given academic year.
