Dean's Winter Entrance Scholarship (International Students)

Other eligibility requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must:

Be an international student (i.e., on a valid study permit) who has applied for admission by the scholarship deadline published on the MacEwan website;

Have been offered admission to a degree program for the Winter term;

Have achieved an admission average within one of the scholarship ranges; and

Be registered in at least 12 university-level credits per term in the Winter term as of the first day following the add/drop deadline in January.

Limitations, Clarifications, and Notes:

This scholarship may be awarded a maximum of one (1) time in an individual’s lifetime.

Students in university transfer, certificate, or diploma programs are ineligible for this scholarship. Should there be any dispute regarding this scholarship, final decisions rest with MacEwan International in support of the intent of the scholarship.

Students who receive the Chancellor’s Winter Scholarship Series (International Entrance) may qualify for the International Spring/Summer Scholarship (Winter Admits) if eligible.

International students are automatically assessed for eligibility; there is no application process.

Academic Upgrading (high school), English as an Additional Language courses, and Math 099 are not university-level credits.

The admission average/AGPA scholarship ranges and amounts for this scholarship are:

80-84.99% or AGPA of 3.50-3.69 - Dean’s Scholarship - $1,000

The value of the scholarship(s) may vary or change without notice based on available funds. Minimum values will be published on the MacEwan website no later than the date admission applications open for the Winter term.
