In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Nursing program at Algonquin College (2025-26), the donor has established this endowed scholarship in recognition of both the program’s milestone and his deep personal connection to nursing. The scholarship honours his mother, Ellen Ireland, who served as the Night Nursing Supervisor at The Queensway Carleton Hospital for more than 17 years. Ellen Ireland was known for her hands-on leadership, compassion, and dedication to her patients and team.
