A scholarship to assist a new international masters student from the USA with the cost of tuition fees.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are: An applicant must: (a) be an international student; and (b) hold a passport issued by the government of the United States of America; and (c) have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to an eligible masters programme at the University; and (d) have an Admissions GPE of at least 7.0. (2) An applicant is not eligible for consideration for the scholarship if they: (a) have already commenced study at the University; or (b) have undertaken any tertiary level study in New Zealand, excluding a student exchange programme; or (c) are enrolling as distance education students (including University of Auckland Online). (d) are enrolling in the Graduate School of Management (GSM) in any programme other than the following: (i) Master of Applied Finance; or (ii) Master of Business Analytics; or (iii) Master of Professional Accounting.

The selection criteria for the grant of the scholarship are: (a) academic merit as assessed by the Admissions GPE; and (b) the quality of the applicant’s personal statement. (5) The following criteria may also inform selection: (a) how the intended programme of study aligns with the strategic objectives of the university.
