The Ellison Scholars programme is looking for at least twenty candidates from around the world each year, who are passionate about solving humanity’s most serious problems. Scholars will fully commit to both their study at the University of Oxford and their ongoing project work with EIT.

Scholars actively contribute to EIT’s innovation projects across its four Humane Endeavours - Health & Medical Science, Food Security & Sustainable Agriculture, Clean Energy and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, through technological advancements, transforming research into practical solutions and scaling them for global impact.

The scholarship covers:

  • Tuition fees for the duration of the undergraduate or graduate course;
  • A generous academic scholarship stipend to cover living costs in Oxford;
  • The equivalent of paid internships for work on innovation projects;
  • Travel and conference costs;
  • Personal technology set up;
  • Arrival in Oxford costs – including flights, visa charges and access to healthcare.

All candidates should apply first to the scholarship programme via www.eit.org/ellisonscholars. Undergraduate applicants who are shortlisted as semi-finalists for the Ellison Scholars programme will be invited to apply to the University of Oxford. Graduate applicants who become finalists will receive a conditional offer of funding and will be invited to apply to the University of Oxford by the relevant course deadline.
