Activate Learning offers the HE Study Support Fund to assist students with additional expenses related to their courses. This includes purchasing digital tools and research materials, covering travel costs for course-related events, and funding dyslexia assessments—but it’s not limited to these!
Additionally, it supports higher education students experiencing unexpected financial difficulties that could affect their ability to continue studying. If you’re having trouble covering basic or extra costs and can’t get help elsewhere, you can apply for assistance from this fund.
If you qualify and can demonstrate your need for assistance, you can apply.
Students studying for either a FdSc or a BSc from Kingston University at Merrist Wood University Center can apply for a grant from the HE Study Support Fund. This grant helps cover the financial costs of meeting the professional development requirement in their course.
You need to apply separately for this scholarship
To apply, use the online form provided and email evidence, such as receipts or purchase confirmations for items over £100, to adminHE@activatelearning.ac.uk. We’ll assess applications based on your individual needs that might be affecting your attendance or participation in your studies. Keep in mind that receiving assistance might impact your benefit payments. However, we can provide a letter for your Job Centre Plus or Housing Benefit office to explain how the award may affect your benefits. Applying does not guarantee an award because funds are limited.
