Other eligibility requirements

Funding for students from asylum-seeking and refugee communities. The scholarship is equivalent to a full tuition fee waiver and a full living cost stipend.

If you are awarded this scholarship, the actual amount will depend on your fee status and whether you are in receipt of any other funding. The Sanctuary Scholarship is intended to ensure that scholars will have available funds to cover tuition and have access to reasonable living costs for the duration of their studies. Eligibility

You can apply if you:

  • are from a refugee or asylum-seeking community
  • hold an academic offer (or are awaiting a decision) to study an eligible course at the University of Bristol.

Undergraduate applicants (including IFP and Foundation)

You will be expected to apply for the full level of student finance if eligible. International foundation (IFP) and asylum seekers will not be eligible for student finance but can still apply for the scholarship. If you are awarded the scholarship the amount you receive will act as a top up of other funding to cover full tuition fees and living stipend.
