Academic excellence
The School of Biological Sciences is offering bursaries for applicants studying eligible Postgraduate Taught Master’s (PGT) programmes in the 2026-2027 academic session.
Awards
We are offering up to two bursaries for eligible full-time students that will cover all tuition fees. For most of our programmes, these are £20,100 for UK students and £45,410 for International students. These awards are intended to allow highly skilled and motivated applicants to study here who might otherwise not be able to afford the opportunity.
Eligibility
The bursary will be awarded to a School of Biological Sciences offer holder who has firmly accepted (or is intending to accept) the offer for admission to an eligible postgraduate taught master’s degree programme commencing in September 2026.
Please only apply if you have already received an offer (conditional or unconditional). The bursary selection panel can only consider your application if you hold an active offer throughout your bursary application process (meaning if your offer is declined at any point up until the bursary decision deadline you will no longer be eligible).
You can request an extension to your deposit payment deadline based on awaiting the outcome of this Bursary application.
You will not be eligible for this bursary if:
you are fully sponsored by your employer;
you are already in receipt of a full bursary; or
you already hold or will hold a master’s degree or PhD qualification.
Other eligibility requirements depend upon if you would pay UK or international fees.
