Fifteen scholarships are available to local students who have exceptional academic or personal achievements and who are committed to their education and to becoming an ambassador for UWE Bristol in our local community.

The benefits of being a Wallscourt Scholar:

Scholars will be awarded £1000 in their first year, paid in two instalments of £500; plus £500 in their second year and £500 in their third year.

Access to bespoke online webinars during the transition from Post 16 education into Higher Education, if applicable.

Involvement in the Access to UWE Bristol fair.

An invite to campus with other contextual offer holders and potential scholars.

Joining a community of scholars.

Invitation to a celebration event.

Opportunity to visit previous secondary school/Further Education college and speak about learning journey.

Eligibility

If you are eligible you will have received a contextual offer from UWE Bristol. UWE Bristol will email you an application form and invite you to apply for the scholarship.

Applications will be judged by a panel consisting of the Head of Widening Access and Collaborative Outreach Projects (or nominee), Head of Student Money Service (or nominee), Head of Student Journey Communications and representatives from the Wallscourt Foundation. Applications will be anonymised.
