Florida Linkage Institutes have been created by the Florida Legislature to assist in the development of stronger economic and social ties between the State of Florida and foreign countries. Only international students from these countries may apply for the Linkage tuition waiver program. Students must be on an F1 visa and must attend a public university or community college inside the state of Florida.
International students who are selected for this program receive the in-state tuition rate for course fees. Students who receive this award are required to return to their home country within three years after graduation or may be required to pay back the equivalent amount waived.
