Go to open days, the ones I attended were really well run. The one for Cardiff uni even gave us a coach tour of the city. Most of the uni’s I applied to asked me to visit before they would make an offer and this is a very good idea as you going to be living there for a few years, so prepare to make a few trips around the country. Try to move into your halls as soon as possible and be as outgoing and social as you can. Everyone will be in the same boat as you wanting to make friends. I 100% recommend Cardiff.
